Happy 2020: Travel While You Have the Light

Happy 2020! Thanks for joining me for briCember--we recorded 17 podcast episodes in 31days and crossed the 10,500+ downloads milestone! Here’s what I know to be true in 2020 and beyond: 1." Travel while you have the light.” That means don’t let knowledge go wasted, and make the most of everything being illuminated. 2. “Don’t waste brainpower on perfect.” Don't waste your brain’s muscle on limiting beliefs about what we’re capable of creating! 3. “You get one body.” One. Take care of it accordingly!

Thank you for joining me for briCember! We recorded 17 podcast episodes in 31 days together, including the most delicious cookbooks, how to push past procrastination, women and cocktails, iconic black and white films, my therapy journey, and my AM/PM skin care routines. Thank you for giving me the strongest month ever on Bri Books podcast! We crossed over 10,500 episode downloads. It’s exciting for me to see that by putting something out once every 2-3 days, I was able to reach more people and grow into my goals for 2020.

Here’s what I know to be true in 2020 and beyond:

  1. “Travel while you have the light.” That means don’t let knowledge go wasted, and make the most of everything being illuminated.

  2. “Don’t waste brain power on perfect.” We’re not eating all these walnuts and sweet potatoes just to waste our brain’s muscle on limiting beliefs about what we’re capable of creating! Execute at your best, and iterate.

  3. “You get one body.” One. Take care of it accordingly!

On traveling while you have the light

Don’t let knowledge go wasted. For me, traveling while you have the light is about making the most about the opportunities you have. This is my version of “make hay while the sun’s shining.” Moving heavily when everything is illuminated helps to prevent procrastination, so try to remember that all movement can be forward movement.

On not wasting brain power on perfect

When you commit to not wasting your brain’s muscle, it’s easier to execute and iterate. It’s that short.

On using your one body

You’ll have your body--each limb, each follicle, each organ--forever. Let that sink in. Take care of it accordingly!
