After the holidays, it’s common to feel drained, overstimulated, or out of rhythm. In this episode of Bri Books, we focus on how to do a simple, grounded post-holiday reset that emphasizes self care, reflection, and intention (but without the pressure.)

Episodes mentioned:

  1. Manifestation journaling 101

  2. How to lock in on your goals: a gentle framework for goalsetting in 2026

  3. How to do a year in review: what to keep, what to release, what to sow

In this episode, we talk through my practical approach to a self-care post-holiday reset. Rather than pushing productivity or strict routines, this episode centers hydration, cleaning your physical space, noticing patterns, reducing digital noise, and setting intentions.

Topics covered include:

  1. Hydrating consistently and having whole, simple meals in January

  2. Cleaning your kitchen, especially cabinets and cupboards

  3. Tracking what drained you versus what filled you up

  4. Doing a digital detox and taking silent walks

  5. Planning intentions without pressure

How to Do a Self-Care Reset and Boundary-Setting Reset

Hydrate: Hydration is a foundational part of a reset. After the holidays, returning to consistent hydration is a simple way to support your body and nervous system.

Clean Your Kitchen (Especially Cabinets and Cupboards): Cleaning the kitchen is a reset of both space and routine. Focusing on cabinets, cupboards, and drawers helps reduce visual clutter and creates a sense of readiness. When it comes to cleaning post-holidays, focus on small, manageable cleaning rather than doing everything at once.

Track What Drained You vs. What Filled You Up: Instead of immediately setting goals, I encourage you to reflect on what drained you during the holidays versus what filled you up helps build awareness and clarity. This practice supports more informed choices moving forward.

Digital Detox and Silent Walks: Step back from constant digital input. Digital detoxing and silent walks — without music or podcasts — are ways to reduce stimulation and create mental space.

Plan Intentions Without Pressure: Focus on intention-setting that avoids urgency or force. Intentions are a way to name how you want to feel, without attaching timelines or metrics.
