In my experience, pushing past procrastination comes down to realizing that you’ve been here before. You've started before. You’ve started over before. You’ve begun again so many times. Every episode had a beginning, every document had a draft, every application had a bullet point on a resume that needed to be written. Remember that starting over is part of moving, and part of every aspect of life.
Pushing Past Procrastination Tip #1: Remember all the times you’ve done something, and it worked out.
Pushing Past Procrastination Tip #2: I’m not making this podcast only for myself, so I won’t let myself get in the way. “When you remove your own judgement and critique from the equation, you realize you weigh yourself heavily, and for all intents and purposes, you’re pretty solid or spectacular.” Think about the fact that you’re not doing something only for yourself. You’re not the audience only for yourself. Something doesn't have to be perfect for you to be proud of it. You can be proud of something that isn’t perfect but that exists.”
Pushing Past Procrastination Tip #3: Remember what it feels like to be on the other side.
